Located at the entrance to Resurrection Bay just 12 nautical miles from Seward, Fox Island is a magical mix of temperate rain forest, sculpted cliffs overhanging the sea, protected coves of turquoise water and curving, pebbled beaches. The surrounding waters include a unique blend of bay and outer coast marine life including sea lions, harbor seals, sea otters and orcas and humpback whales. Bald eagles, tufted and horned puffins, murres and kittiwakes soar the skies above. Sunny Cove Sea Kayaking is the only company with a base at Fox Island offering these unique adventures.

Our Resurrection Bay trips begin from Lowell Point, just two miles south of Seward by road. Here we'll experience the beauty of Resurrection Bay, its abundant marine life, temperate rainforests and beautiful mountain glacial vistas. As you paddle the shoreline of Resurrection Bay encounters with sea otters, porpoise, seals, and bald eagles are possible. Explore Tonsina Point with its ghost forest, late season salmon stream and beautiful mountain views from its beach or enjoy a longer day of exploration with a visit to Caines Head State Recreation Area to explore a Fort McGilvary, a subterranean fort built during World War II.

Kenai Fjords National Park is a place where tidewater glaciers shed their ice to create some of the most magnificent scenery in the world. It's vistas encompass many varieties of glaciers from massive hanging glaciers towering above  in the mountains to the tidewater glaciers that flow into the seas below. This spectacular area provides the opportunity to experience this wonderland of mountains and ice up close and personal. Crackling ice, tidewater glaciers and wildlife encounters will bedazzle your senses as you sea kayak amidst seals and whales, watching multitudes of sea birds soaring along the waters surface. This is the place to experience the beauty of an ultimate Alaskan adventure.
