Fox Island Tours
Just 12 nautical miles from Seward, Fox Island is a magical mix of temperate rainforest, sculpted cliffs, sea stacks, protected coves, and long pebbled beaches. Fox Island is a guide favorite, and it’s common to see seals, sea lions, eagles, puffins, and on especially lucky days, humpback whales or orcas. As we ply the waters of Fox Island, your guide will share stories of the island, its storied historic residents, and the flora and fauna surrounding you.
The surrounding waters have abundant marine life including sea lions, sea otters, orcas, and whales. Peregrine falcons, bald eagles, and kittiwakes can be seen flying above while puffin dive for dinner below.

Fox Island Full Day Kayak
Departing from Seward Small Boat Harbor, this tour includes a one-hour cruise to Fox Island. Upon arrival, your guides will walk you through an orientation before setting out to kayak the shoreline of Fox Island, and possibly Cape Resurrection on the very active-paced tour.
A picnic-style lunch will be served on one of the cobblestone beaches, before setting out for a few more miles of kayaking. After returning to the Island, you’ll enjoy chowder and rolls dinner during a one-hour cruise back to Seward.
