This is your opportunity to experience the beauty of Seward's Resurrection Bay with its abundant marine life and beautiful mountain glacier vistas on this sea kayaking excursion from Lowell Point. We commonly encounter sea otters, sea birds, harbor seals, bald eagles and leaping salmon. We may stop to take a short walk on the beach and in late summer may land our kayaks along Tonsina Creek to view an active salmon spawning stream. This the perfect trip for those wanting to experience kayaking for the first time or for those short on time.
Tonsina Point Kayak & Exploration: 9am - 3pm
This family friendly fully guided sea kayaking and rain forest exploration combo trip is perfect for those who would like time to relax into their surroundings whether it be kayaking to a beautiful waterfall, sitting on washed-up driftwood on the beach or walking through the moss laden forest. On this trip we commonly encounter sea otters, sea birds, bald eagles and leaping salmon.
Caines Head Kayak & Hike Combo: 8:30am - 4:30pm
This trip provides a great opportunity to combine both hiking and sea kayaking for those looking for an active adventure. While kayaking we'll watch for sea otters, sea lions, porpoise, eagles and sea birds. If time allows, our day will include a hike up to Fort McGilvray, an abandoned subterranean World War II military fort. This is an active day including up to 10 miles of kayaking and five miles of hiking with a 650 foot elevation gain and loss.
