Sample Itinerary

6 pm, day prior to your trip

We meet at the Adventure Center, our office in the Seward Small Boat Harbor.  This is an opportunity to introduce ourselves and to review the trip specifics.  Your guides will offer packing instructions, discuss route options, distribute kayaking gear and share last minute information regarding your trip and the following morning's departure.

After meeting at the designated time and place we've arranged at our pre-trip meeting we'll make our way to our first camp amid hanging mountain glaciers, towering mountains and expansive vistas. As we explore for eagles, cormorants, marbled murrelets, puffins, sea otters, sea lions, whales, porpoise and more.  Upon arrival we'll set up camp and prepare for an afternoon of adventure in Resurrection Bay. Upon our return to camp a dinner of hearty fare will be served while we enjoy solitude, scenery and good company.  The evening is a good time to absorb the serenity of nature, stroll along the beach, enjoy quiet conversation or to just plain relax.

We'll enjoy a filling beach side breakfast and break camp before heading out for a day of exploration. Options may include exploration of one of the areas many trails, searching for historic treasures or heading down the shoreline by kayak looking for wildlife.   Expect a full day of adventure with a picnic lunch.  Upon our return to camp we'll enjoy another delicious camp dinner.

An early breakfast and camp break down will start our day. A morning of further exploration may be available before our return to Seward.  Return to Seward is typically between 5:00pm and 7:00pm depending on weather and route conditions.

*Return times may vary unexpectedly. Please plan accordingly. Our kayak camping itineraries are subject to change based upon wind, weather, waves and the pace / comfort level of the group at the discretion of your guides.
