Explore Fox Island's coastline of sheer ocean cliffs and deep forest cloaked coves. Your day may include a visit to Fox Island Spit, exploration of Kayaker's and Humpy Cove, paddling into God's Pocket or if sea conditions and weather permits, circumnavigation of Fox Island. Your route will be chosen at your guide's discretion with consideration of wind, waves, tides, weather and the groups abilities and comfort levels. Along the way we'll stop for a stretch and a picnic lunch on one of the cobblestone beaches dotting the coastline.

Check in for this tour is at the Adventure Center at Seward's Boat Harbor. Once you're checked in you'll board a Kenai Fjords Tours boat for a one hour wildlife cruise to Fox Island. Upon arrival to the island we'll spend the next half hour getting you outfitted with paddling gear and running through basic kayaking instruction on the beach. After our instruction we'll have about 5.5 hours (up to 12 miles) of kayaking. Along the way we'll stop for a break, lunch and snacks. After our kayaking adventure we'll return to the island for a salmon & prime rib buffet before returning to Seward. We provide kayaking guides and gear including rubber boots, pogies and dry bag. Children 12 and up are welcome to kayak with an adult in our two-person kayaks.

This fully guided tour checks in by 7:15 am at the Adventure Center. Boarding begins at 7:30 am and is followed a one-hour wildlife cruise to Fox Island, followed by about 1/2 hour of kayaking instruction with approximately 5.5 hours (up to 12 miles) of kayaking, including a stop along the way for beach exploration and lunch. Upon returning to the island you’ll enjoy a wild Alaska salmon and prime rib buffet-style dinner followed by a 1 hour cruise back to Seward. Children 12 and up are welcome to kayak with an adult in our two-person kayaks. *Pogies and rain wear are available on an as needed basis.

The kayaking portion of this fully guided tour meets in Halibut Cove after your arrival on Fox Island. We'll spend the next half hour getting you outfitted with kayaking gear and running through basic instruction on the beach. After our instruction we'll have about 5.5 hours (up to 12 miles) of kayaking along the rugged shoreline of Fox Island. We'll stop along the way for a beach side lunch and to stretch our legs.
