The kayaking portion of this fully guided tour meets in Halibut Cove after your arrival on Fox Island. We'll spend the next half hour getting you outfitted with kayaking gear and running through basic kayaking instruction on the beach. After our instruction we'll have about 4 hours (3-5 miles) of kayaking along the rugged shoreline of Fox Island.
12pm - 8:30pm daily: June 8 - August 11, 2019
Check in for this tour is at the Adventure Center at Seward's Boat Harbor. Once you're checked in you'll board a Kenai Fjords Tours boat to Fox Island. Upon arrival to the island we'll spend the next half hour getting you outfitted with paddling gear and running through basic kayaking instruction on the beach. After our instruction we'll have about 4 hours (3-5 miles) of kayaking. Along the way we'll stop for a break and snacks. After our kayaking adventure we'll return to the island for a Salmon & Prime Rib Buffet, followed by a 1.5 hour wildlife cruise before returning to Seward. Children 8 and up are welcome to kayak with an adult in our two-person kayaks.
This fully guided tour includes a one-hour wildlife cruise to Fox Island, about 1/2 hour of kayaking instruction with approximately 4 hours (3-5 miles) of kayaking followed by a wild Alaska salmon and prime rib buffet-style dinner and a 1.5 hour Resurrection Bay boat tour with Kenai Fjords Tours. We provide kayaking guides and gear including rubber boots, pogies and dry bag. *Pogies and rain wear are available on an as needed basis.
