Departing from Seward Small Boat Harbor, this tour allows you to experience an afternoon paddle at remote and beautiful Fox Island. Located at the entrance of Resurrection Bay just 12 nautical miles from Seward, Fox Island is a magical mix of temperate rain forest, sculpted cliffs, sea stacks, protected coves and long pebbled beaches. The surrounding waters have abundant marine life including sea lions, sea otters, orcas and whales. Peregrine falcons, bald eagles and kittiwakes are often seen flying above while puffin dive for dinner.

This tour includes a short wildlife cruise through Resurrection Bay followed by a brief orientation, and kayaking along steep cliffs while plying the waters along the shoreline of Fox Island, watching for otters and puffin. Upon returning to Fox Island you’ll enjoy a Salmon cake prepared meal, followed by a wildlife cruise watching for whales and sea lions as you make your way through Resurrection Bay. 

8:00 am - Check In at the Adventure Center (1304 4th Avenue, Seward)
8:30 am - Board Kenai Fjords Tours Boat
9:00 am - Depart Seward
10:00 am - Arrive Fox Island & Meet Your Guides
10:30 am - Kayaking the Shoreline of Fox Island
1:00 pm - Return to Fox Island for Salmon Cake Prepared Meal
2:00 pm - Board Kenai Fjords Tours Boat for Wildlife Cruise
5:00 pm - Return to Seward
