Sunny Cove Sea Kayaking is Expanding

People love coming to the remote state of Alaska to see all the beautiful wildlife and scenery we have to offer, but we are often told that we should open up operations in the Lower 48 to accommodate all our fans around the United States. Fear not faithful followers, we have heard your voice! With all the polls showing Sunny Cove as the clear cut number one kayaking company in Seward, Alaska, we felt it was time to take our talents down south and open up a few more Sunny Cove locations. Here is a sneak peak of some of our new locations and our main trip for each spot.

South Dakota: Known as the Mount Rushmore state, this state has received the most requests for us to open up shop. We will be located at the base of Mouth Rushmore and our kayak journey will take us along the historic path of seeing some of our most famous presidents. For lovers of history, this is a can't miss adventure.

Missouri: The Show-Me state is next on our list and we are happy to show you around this lovely terrain. Known as the gateway to the west, this kayak trip will take you under the famed St. Louis arch before paddling into Busch stadium to watch the St. Louis Cardinals lose a baseball game to their rival Chicago Cubs. Sports fan don't want to miss out on this adventure.

Corn fields.jpg

Iowa: If paddling through a sea of corn fields doesn't get you out of bed in the morning, I don't know what will. Our main trip will be a race amongst your friends through the most famous corn mazes Iowa has to offer. Book early if planning your trip in October as Halloween will be our busiest time of year.

Vegas.jpg

Nevada: We are so excited to offer this trip for you night owls. A kayak cruise down the Las Vegas strip after sunset to see what the late night Vegas lights are all about. A dinner buffet is included in this adventure followed by a little gambling with our trip ending with a front row seat in your kayak to a Brittney Spears live performance.

Tennessee: And finally, for those of you feeling nostalgic about the beautiful mountains we have in Alaska, we of course have to offer a trip through the beautiful rocky tops we have out east. Home to the Smokey Mountains, this trip will meander along the Tennessee portion of the Appalachian Trail. In the spring, you can encourage thru-hikers on their way towards Maine and we highly recommend our fall trip times as you will fall in love with the many colors of the autumn leaves as they fall from the trees.

I can't tell you how excited we are for the next chapter in the life of Sunny Cove Sea Kayaking. So many people have told us we are crazy for offering sea kayak trips where there is no ocean, but they aren't seeing the big picture. With global temperatures rising along with sea levels, it won't be long till these 5 states have coastlines of their own and we are being smart planning ahead. So come on out and check out our new locations. We look forward to seeing you on the water! And also from all of us at Sunny Cove, we hope you have a great Easter Sunday as well as a fun APRIL FOOLS Day. We sure do every year!
