The Kenai Peninsula is home to some of Alaska's most beautiful hikes. Let our professional naturalist guides introduce you to this unique ecosystem comprised of both temperate rainforests and alpine tundra. For a complete introduction, combine a paddle of the coastline where the mountains and ocean meet with your hike. Sunny Cove offers both full day hikes and full-day hike and paddle combinations.

-Caines Head Hike and Paddle Combo, 8 am-4 pm- excursion begins with a 4 mile paddle to the trail head at the North Beach of Caines Head State Recreational Area. Our 5 mile (round-trip) hike takes us to Fort McGilvray, an subterrainean remnant of WWII, and beautiful overviews of Resurrection Bay. This moderately strenuous hike & paddle combo requires the ability to paddle 8 miles and hike 5 miles. Trip includes snacks, beverages and lunch. -ages 12 and over-

-Resurrection Hike and Paddle Combo, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm- Spend the day with Sunny Cove experiencing the dynamic landscapes of the Seward area. This adventure combines a morning paddle along the shores of Resurrection Bay combined with an afternoon hike along the Resurrection River. This is family friendly day for those looking to experience two perspectives of the landscape of the Kenai Peninsula. This excursion includes transportation between Lowell Point paddling location, lunch & snacks. -8 years old and up-

-Lost Lake Hike, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm- On this day-long adventure we head onto a trail that leads us through dense spruce forest before emerging above the tree line. Along the way we will cross over a waterfall, hike along a gorge and have the opportunity to reach the highest peak on a ridge. You will be rewarded with spectacular views of the town of Seward, Resurrection Bay and Bear Lake. This is a great hike for those over 12 who want an active day of exploration. This trip includes transportation between the Adventure Center and trailhead, lunch and snacks. -12 years old & up-
