Fox Island Morning Kayak & Cruise Combo
Our exclusive unique combo tour at Fox Island allows you to experience a half-day of sea kayaking combined with a half-day wildlife cruise of Resurrection Bay, the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Secluded coves, bold sea stack formations and waters alive with wildlife await you. Check out the sea lions hauled out for their nap as puffin, cormorants, kittiwakes and murres nest on the nearby cliffs.

The kayaking portion of this fully guided tour meets in Halibut Cove after your arrival on Fox Island. We'll spend the next half hour getting you outfitted with kayaking gear and running through basic kayaking instruction on the beach. After our instruction we'll have about 3 hours (2-4 miles) of kayaking along the rugged shoreline of Fox Island.

Check in for this tour at the Adventure Center at Seward's Boat Harbor. Once you're checked in you'll board a Kenai Fjords Tours boat to Fox Island. Upon arrival to the island we'll spend the next half hour getting you outfitted with paddling gear and running through basic kayaking instruction on the beach. After our instruction we'll have about 3 (2-4 miles) hours of kayaking before returning to Fox Island for lunch. After lunch you'll board another boat for a 2.5 wildlife viewing cruise around outer Resurrection Bay before returning to Seward. Children 8 and up are welcome to kayak with an adult in our two-person kayaks.

This fully guided tour includes a one-hour wildlife cruise to Fox Island, about 1/2 hour of kayaking instruction with approximately 3 hours (2-4 miles) of kayaking followed by a wild Alaska salmon and prime rib buffet-style meal for lunch and a 2.5 hour Resurrection Bay boat tour with Kenai Fjords Tours. We provide kayaking guides and gear including rubber boots, pogies and dry bag.
