Seward winter wonder (when its going to stop) land

As I write this we are in the midst of another winter weather advisory. Here’s the view from the Lowell Point beach.

I think we’ve had about 3 feet of snow over the last two days.

The snow has inspired lots of smiles (mostly from skiers and those who do winter sports) and some frowns (from those whose winter activities are limited to shoveling)

Lots of powder turns ease the shoveling pain.

It’s been a good year for exploring.

We climbed up to the summit of an unnamed peak overlooking the Harding Icefield

Its also been a great year for touring

Resurrection River

All the good snow hasn’t stopped the paddling. We still get bundled up and out on the water. Tonsina Creek at high tide looking out at Resurrection Bay. Doesn’t get much prettier.

We were treated to a full moon and northern lights on our recent overnight at Exit Glacier.

Gotta love this place.
