Off Season Fun: The Grand Canyon and some Gneiss Rock!

Part three of our winter adventure series checks in on Jack who is finishing up his degree at the University of Northern Iowa. But that hasn't stopped him from having some adventures along the way! Here's a little blurb from Jack himself...

The fall and winter months have brought me many adventures as a guide for the University of Northern Iowa. I've had the pleasure of backpacking through the beautiful fall colors on shore of Lake Superior at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, enjoying a Thanksgiving feast next to the mighty Colorado river while at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and getting vertical on the beautiful schist and gneiss rocks outside of Golden, CO. In between these expeditions I've continued my studies of education and physics which will finish up this May. Can't wait for this summer to again enjoy Alaska and all it has to offer!
